A cellulitis mostly of young children and newborns with erythema and easily broken, large bullae. When widespread it is Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS).

Treat for S. aureus
Mild cases with topical mupirocin, more severe with oral or iv.
Nasal swabs from the patient and immediate family should be done to identify asymptomatic nasal carriers of Staphylococcus aureus.
