Raoultella planticola and Raoultella ornithinolytica (Pubmed) and a couple of others.
A gram negative rod.
Adenocarcinoma of gallbladder and biliary system.
Water, plants and soil.
Mostly bacteremias and gallbladders in bad hosts (PubMed). Various nosocomial infections.
Third generation cephalosporin or a carbapenem, although limited clinical experience and carbapenamases are reported (Pubmed).
R. ornithinolytica are resistant to antibiotics: 4% of isolates were resistant to ceftriaxone, 6% to quinolones, and 13% to cotrimoxazole.
