Epidemiologic Risks

Part of the gi tract.

One of the anaerobes to cause a monomicrobial infection.

Syndromes

Mostly pneumonia and empyema. A hodgepodge of other infections reported.

Treatment

Metronidazole.

Often beta lactam and clindamycin resistance.
