Animal hookworm, Bunostomum phlebotomum.

Epidemiologic Risks

Stepping in poop. Found in the gi tract of ruminants and camelids.

Syndromes

Creeping eruption aka cutaneous larva migrans.

Treatment

Self limited. Topical 10 % qid and oral thiabendazole 25 mg/kg bid x 2 days is treatment of choice OR Albendazole x 3 to 7 days OR Ivermectin x 1 also effective.
